Styled on german christmas markets, the event takes place around the first weekend in december and lasts about 4 days. market stalls occupy all the roads around the castle and cathedral areas. there are also funfair rides. a real christmas extravaganza and definitely worth a visit, but can be very busy. arrive early if travelling by car.
